Frequently Asked Questions

KICC Virtual Exhibition Platform is an innovative digital marketplace and exhibition space that connects African artists with global collectors. Built by the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, it offers virtual 3D galleries, secure transactions, and a community of art enthusiasts.
After registering as an artist and subscribing to a plan, navigate to your dashboard and click "Create Exhibition". Upload your artworks, arrange them in our 3D gallery builder, add descriptions, and publish when ready.
We accept M-Pesa, credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), PayPal, and bank transfers. All transactions are processed securely through our escrow system.
Browse the Events page, select your desired event, choose ticket type and quantity, then proceed to checkout. You'll receive an e-ticket via email immediately after payment.
Artists are responsible for packaging and shipping their artwork. We provide guidelines for safe packaging and recommend using tracked, insured shipping methods. Some artists offer local pickup options.
Click the "Register" button on the top right of our website. Fill in your details including name, email, and password. Choose your account type (Collector or Artist) and complete the verification process via email.
Yes! Premium plan subscribers can schedule live events within their exhibitions, including guided tours, artist talks, and live auctions. Visitors can join in real-time from anywhere in the world.
When a collector purchases artwork, payment is held securely in escrow until the artwork is delivered and the buyer confirms receipt. This protects both artists and collectors from fraud.
Refund policies vary by event. Generally, full refunds are available up to 7 days before the event, 50% refunds up to 48 hours before. Check individual event terms for specific policies.
International shipping availability depends on individual artists. Many artists ship worldwide, but some may have regional restrictions. Check the artwork listing for shipping details or contact the artist directly.
Browsing exhibitions and viewing artworks is free for all visitors. Artists can choose from various subscription plans, with free access available for youth (under 35), women, and persons with disabilities.
Exhibition duration depends on your subscription plan. Basic plans offer 30-day exhibitions, while Premium plans allow for longer or permanent exhibitions. You can also schedule specific start and end dates.
Commission rates vary by subscription plan: Basic (15%), Professional (10%), Premium (5%). The commission covers platform maintenance, secure transactions, and marketing support.
Many of our events offer hybrid options with both physical and virtual attendance. Virtual tickets typically cost less and include access to live streams, recorded sessions, and interactive Q&A.
Payments are released to your registered M-Pesa number or bank account within 3-5 business days after the buyer confirms receipt of the artwork. You can track all transactions in your dashboard.
